Fire Suppression

Protection of life, property and data are the prime important aspects of any fire protection systems. Detecting smoke or fire using fire detection systems are the 1st part, but suppressing or extinguishing the fire is the next step. The very common way to extinguish fire are the water hydrant systems. But they have a major problems especially if used in some special areas. The can damage more than protect. Eg. Server room, MRI room in hospitals, record room etc, where sprinkling of water causes more damage than the actual fire could cause. But protection in these areas is also must. Extinguish fire by using gases which are safe to humans, safe to property is the solution. FM 200 and Novec 1230 are the most famous of these gases, which are widely used across the world in automatic fire suppression systems. Inergen systems are the one less used, but are very useful in covering larger areas. CO2 and dry powder fire extinguishers are popular among the handheld extinguishers.

There are special extinguishing systems specifically made for some important areas. Like foam based fire extinguishing system is used in petroleum industries where oil is stored. Water mist systems are used to cover larger areas and where customer demands for zero refiling costs. Water mist systems are solution in between water hydrant and gas suppression systems, but involves high capital cost, but almost 0 refiling costs.

This a call as fire triangle. Basically fire is caused by these 3 basis ingredients. Fuel which burns, heat which causes the fuel to burn and oxygen which fuels the fire. If one of the component is removed, we will suppress the fire. We cannot remove the fuel , but certainly minimise the heat and oxygen from the surroundings. Fire suppression systems works on these principal, either removing heat or minimising the O2 to the fire.

We offer below range of automatic fire suppression to basic handheld fire extinguishers, but can also provide the special ones on demand.

Gas Based Fire Suppression

FM 200 and Novec 1230 , which are called as clean agents, are the most popular systems used worldwide. They are stored in liquid forms, but converted in gaseous form for the usage. Both these gases target the heat. Removing the excess heat causes the fire to extinguish. They are usually used in server rooms, data centres, record room where a relatively small space is to be covered. Due to expensive gas, installations in a large area become a expensive matter.

To cater this, Inert gases based Inergen (Inergen, Nitrogen, Aragonite) systems are used. These system target the oxygen by displacing the O2 in the area and reduces to such a level that fire cannot sustain, but humans can breathe. These systems can cover bigger areas since the extinguishing gases are really inexpensive to refill.

3rd type of extinguishing system are the CO2 ( carbon dioxide ) based systems. These are the cheapest of them all in terms of refilling, but are only used in unmanned areas.

Installations of these systems is a critical process and our highly trained and experienced team guarantees you of safe and complete installations.

Ceiling mount FM200 suppression system

If you want automatic fire suppression in the room, but don't want to go for the complex cylinders and piping and all those equipment used in the FM200 , Integrated cylinders with nozzles and releasing valves can solve your purpose. Though these cylinders are simple and less costly, they are relatively less effective in terms of coverage area and gas releasing time. But for small areas they will solve the purpose.

Panel Protection

Automatic gas suppression systems for larger areas are ok if we want to protect the complete area, but what if we target the exact source of fire or want to use the benefits of gas suppression system in small areas like electrical panels, server racks etc. We have solution for such scenarios where the automatic fire suppression system only target inside the panel and that too on the exact source of the fire. A rubber tube is connected to a pressurised gas cylinder filled with the extinguishing agent. Whenever there is flame inside the panel, the rubber tube burst at the spot and releases the extinguishing gas. 1st the flames are extinguish and later the panel is filled with the gas to prevent further spreading of the fire. We supply tubes which can burst at different temperatures demanding on your requirements.

Kitchen Fire Suppression

Suppressing fire in a kitchen, where already fire is present is a difficult tasks. Kitchen fire, once started spread very fast e.g. hot oil spills caught fire or any cooking gas leakage. Bringing the handheld extinguisher and operating the same will consume lots of valuable time, and the fire may turn uncontrollable not able to be suppressed by the handheld extinguisher. Kitchen fire suppression system will solve the purpose. These systems uses a rubber tube, which is connected to a pressurised cylinders filled with a extinguishing gas agent. This rubber tube will not burst during normal kitchen operations, but when the temperature rises above a certain due to a actual fire, this tube will burst and spray the extinguishing gas on the fire.

Kitchen fire suppression systems are recommended in commercial large kitchen like in hotels, canteens etc.

Fire Suppression Balls

These are new type of fire extinguishing mechanism available now a days. Operation is simple, the user has to throw the ball in the fire. Due to the heat, the ball will explode and spread and deposit dry powder onto the fire, cutting the oxygen to the fire, hence extinguishing it. These balls are provided with mounting stands for easy installation and reach at site.

Hand Held Extinguishers

We supply a range of handheld extinguishers, from various sizes to different types like CO2, dry powder, foam etc.
